Why should you look for tiny rust spots on balcony railings as part of regular inspection?

Balcony railings look strong, but rust slowly eats them from inside. It usually starts as tiny brown spots or bubbling paint in corners and joints. If ignored, those spots can spread till sections become weak and unsafe.

A quick scan every now and then lets you find these early. Light sanding and repainting, or minor repair at that stage is simple. If you wait till entire bars are corroded, replacement becomes expensive—and in the meantime, safety is compromised.

Especially in homes with kids leaning on railings or people drying clothes there, solid condition really matters.
