How can using a watering can with a shower head prevent soil from splashing out of pots?

When you pour water straight from a bottle, bucket or mug, the stream is usually strong and concentrated. It hits the soil like a mini waterfall, and the top layer splashes everywhere—onto railings, floor, and sometimes even your own clothes. For small pots, this can even expose roots.

A watering can with a shower head breaks that single stream into many small droplets. The water falls more gently, spread over a wider area, similar to light rain. Soil stays mostly in place, and water has time to soak in instead of digging little craters.

Your balcony stays neater, and plants get a more even drink. It’s a minor tool change that makes daily watering calmer and less messy.
