Buckets and mugs live in wet, soapy environments. Shampoo, soap, body oils and hard water minerals cling to the sides. If you never rinse or scrub them, a slippery film slowly forms—first near the bottom, then all around.
This slimy layer not only looks and feels unpleasant, it also holds odours and can encourage mild fungal or bacterial growth. Rinsing thoroughly after use, and giving them a soapy scrub once in a while, keeps the surfaces clean and less prone to that “used too long” smell.
Fresh buckets and mugs quietly make the whole bathroom feel more hygienic.
